INTERVIEWS

Recruitment Rules prescribed by Government of Sindh require candidates to appear before the Interview Committee constituted by SPSC. For certain categories of candidates, interviews may be the only system of evaluation and selection of candidates for preparation of final list for recruitment. However if the candidates are large in number, Commission has the option to conduct Short Listing Test before the Interview. In the cases where Written Examinations have been prescribed in the Recruitment Rules, candidates will appear in the Viva Voce only after they have qualified such examinations. This Section defines procedure/rules prescribed for conduct of Interview/Viva Voce for guidance of Members, Staff Officers and Staff of SPSC.

Objectives of Interview/Viva Voce

The objectives of the Interview are:

a. Test/evaluate the personal qualities of the candidates.
b. Evaluate the candidate’s alertness, intelligence, and his/her communications skills.
c. Measure his/her interest in knowledge of Pakistan, Islam, current affairs and general awareness.
d. Test the candidate’s aptitude in his/her area of specialization.
e. Consider his/her general outlook, bearing and physique.
